Harker Research introduced GenesisSM to radio in 1999.

GenesisSM uses a combination of One on One Interviews and music research to ascertain the best "musical tilt" for a station. Listeners are able to respond to specific music styles and how they feel about each in a focus group setting. It can help you to better understand, during periods of music transitions, why a listener chooses one station over another and how listeners respond to specific styles of music.
